What is TAC-B33T?
Two drum machines. One plugin. Zero samples.
TAC-B33T is a dual symbiotic drum machine from Tokyo Acid Cru. Each machine has 16 pads with 11 fully synthesised drum models — kick, snare, hat, tom, clap, rim, clave, cowbell, cymbal, shaker, and perc. That’s 32 voices of analogue-modelled drum synthesis, all running in real-time.
But here’s where it gets weird. The two machines are connected through a Sympathetic Percussion Resonance (SPR) coupling system — 6 algorithms that let them influence each other. Machine A’s kick makes Machine B’s snare resonate differently. Machine B’s hat pattern feeds back into Machine A’s tom tuning. It’s drums having a conversation.
The 5th Member
Can’t think of a beat? Let the AI do it. Four generative algorithms — Euclidean spacing, Markov chains, Genetic evolution, and pure Chaos — will write patterns that surprise you. Hit generate, tweak what you like, throw away what you don’t. It’s like having a drummer who never gets tired and has questionable taste (in the best way).
The sequencers
Dual 16/32/64-step sequencers with per-step probability, ratchets, conditional triggers, micro-timing, and parameter locks. Pattern chaining, undo/redo, and you can clone one machine’s sequence to the other for instant call-and-response.

Beat makers who got bored of loading the same sample packs. Producers who want drum sounds that are theirs, not everyone else’s. Anyone who thinks two drum machines are better than one (they are).
